An original antique copper engraved map in hand colour by Willem and Joan Blaeu. Published in Amsterdam circa 1645, latin text edition.

The map shows La Sovverainete de Dombes in France. The major towns featured are Lyon, Villefranche, Mascon, Villars and Bourg, the cartouche and scale are supported by Putti.

Willem Blaeu was the founder of one of the most famous map making families of all time.
